Kristina Keller is a native Houstonian, and she has been practicing Yoga in one form or another since her early childhood and she has been teaching Yoga for 6 years now. Kristina’s life and her teaching have been an organic evolution of her experiences and her studies.
Her studies of the human body initially lead her into massage therapy where she specialized in physical therapy, training elite athletes as she herself was a competitive cyclist and tri-athlete for years. Kristina’s extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology give her a deep understanding of the science and practice of Yoga. Her detailed instruction on the anatomy, energy and alignment of poses reflects that body of knowledge.
In her ongoing commitment to learn and share the many simple and effective tools available to help individuals author their own wellbeing, Kristina recently received certification from Yoga Warriors International, a well-researched and documented program embraced by the Department of Defense. This program has shown highly effective results and is designed to use yoga as treatment for Combat and Operational Stress Reaction (COSR) or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
In addition to her advanced trainings in yoga, Kristina has also studied human psychology, philosophy and consciousness. She believes that our physical bodies reflect our consciousness, our mental and emotional approach to life. She believes that as you elevate your consciousness and change your attitude and perceptions, so too you change your body back into your natural state of health and wellbeing.
Kristina is committed to having all of her students “remember” and utilize the tools they innately possess to fully experience their potential...physically, emotionally and spiritually. Kristina guides her students to move from disembodiment to reunification, to reclaim their authority and ownership of their personal health and to live consciously, feeling their joy and ease.
